SQUID & SCALLOP SAMBAL

INGREDIENTS
2 medium Squid cleaned and sliced into rings

METHOD
Heat oil in a saucepan. Add garlic and fry until fragrant
Add chopped chilli
Add chopped onion and stir briefly
Add Ikan bilis stock cube and break it up in the pan.
Add glass shrimp
Add chilli powder and mix through
Add blachan powder
Add salt and sugar
Add the sliced onion
Add the squid and scallops
Add the tamarind water
Add MSG (optional). Cook until the squid and scallops are just done. It is very important not to overcook the squid.
An alternative to using scallops is to use 200g prawn chopped meat.
