Lets Eat Malaysian

INGREDIENTS

To get the right flavours you have to use the right ingredients. The following list gives the brand names of various sauces and spices that I use. All these are available in Australia.

Since we live near Perth in Western Australia I have included some information below on places to get some of the ingredients I have listed here.

Asian Grocery Supermarkets, markets and shops:

Market City, Bannister Road Canning Vale. - Good range. There is also an Indian grocery shop here.

Just up Bannister road on the same side as Market City is Oriental Cash & Carry which has the largest range of products I have seen in W.A.

Chan Bros. at North Lake Shopping Centre, Myaree - Good range

Not far from Chan Bros. is Yee Seng which is also worth a visit. It is only a couple of streets west.

Rockingham City Shopping Centre (Next to Coles), Useful for some items and also has fruit and veg.

Karawara Shopping Centre (Bentley area) near Curtin Uni. Good range but a bit more expensive.

Sunday market at Market City (as above), Good for unusual vegetables and fruit.

There is also an Asian grocery shop in Midland near the weekend markets but I don't have the address. Ok range but a bit more expensive.

If you know of any good Asian grocery stores near Perth then let me know by email so I can add them to this list.
