Lets Eat Malaysian

CHICKEN RECIPES

Chicken is a cross cultural dish in Malaysia although the styles of cooking vary from one ethnic group to another.

This website contains only a few of my recipes. If you would like the whole collection please purchase my cook book. There are 26 Chicken recipes in the book. The book is available only in PDF format but it can be printed if you want a hard copy.

Don't forget to check out my cooking class videos on my YouTube recipe channel..

Unless otherwise noted, all the recipes here are for 3 servings. Some will require the addition of rice and a vegetable dish to make a complete meal.

THE RECIPES

Mamak Fried Chicken

Mamak Fried Chicken : In Malaysia the mamak stalls are often open 24 hours. They are Muslim Indian food outlets that sell a variety of delicious dishes.

This is my version of mamak fried chicken.

Chicken Kapitan

Chicken Kapitan : An unusual chicken curry that includes tamarind and lemon grass.

It goes particularly well with nasi lemak.

Tung Po Chicken

Tung Po Chicken : Not the simplest dish to prepare but the nutty flavours of cashews and sesame oil make this a favourite chicken recipe.

Szechuan Chicken

Szechuan Chicken : This is my own take on this well known dish.

Like most of the recipes I do, this one is a bit different from the standard.

Coconut Chicken Curry

Coconut Chicken Curry : This dish is for those who like curries but aren't keen on chili.

This is a creamy delicious dish without the heat people usually associate with curry.

Chicken and Almonds

Chicken and Almonds : This is a well known dish with quite a few different variations.

This one is more original than many in cook books.

Roast Duck

Roast Duck : Roast duck is a Chinese favourite. It is usually eaten on special occasions.

My recipe isn't the traditional version but and easier method that you can use at home.
