KAI LAN

 

 

 

INGREDIENTS

 

1large bunch Kai Lan (Kayle)

1/4 Shrimp stock cube

125g Pork meat sliced

1 tsp Corn flour

2 cloves Garlic chopped

3 tbsp Cooking oil

2 pinches MSG (optional)

Salt to taste

 

Marinade

1 cup Water

2 tsp Corn flour

2 cm Ginger minced

1 tsp Oyster sauce

1 tsp Sugar

1 tsp Soya sauce

METHOD

 

 

 

Prepare the marinade by placing the ingredients into a small bowl and mixing together.

 

 

Wash the Kai Lan

 

 

Chop the Kai Lan up and separate the stalks from the leaves. Put each in separate bowls. If any parts of the stalks are too hard then cut off and discard.

 

 

Put cooking oil into a fry pan and set the heat to medium-high

 

 

Add garlic and fry until fragrant

 

 

Add shrimp stock cube

 

 

Add pork

 

 

Add salt

 

 

Add sugar

 

 

Add Kai Lan stalks and cook for a couple of minutes

 

 

Add the leaves

 

 

Add the marinade and stir through well

 

 

Add MSG (optional)

 

 

Serve on boiled rice with your choice of meat dish.
