CHOY SUM WITH PORK

 

INGREDIENTS

 

1 Choy sum (large bunch)
150g Pork diced
2 cloves Garlic chopped finely
1 tsp Shao xing wine
1 tsp Sugar
1/3 cup Water (mix with 1 tsp corn flour)
2 tbsp Oyster sauce
2 tbsp Cooking oil
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt to taste

METHOD

 

 

Heat the oil in a wok

 

 

Add garlic and fry until brown and fragrant

 

 

Add the pork and fry until brown

 

 

Add salt

 

 

Add sugar

 

 

Add the stalks of the choy sum first

 

 

Stir fry briefly

 

 

Place a lid on the wok and cook for a couple of minutes

 

 

Now add the choy sum leaves

 

 

Add the oyster sauce

 

 

Add the MSG (optional)

 

 

Add the corn flour and water mixture

 

 

Add the shao xing wine

 

 

Serve on a bed of rice with your favourite meat dish.
