CHIVE SHOOTS



 

INGREDIENTS


1 bunch Chive shoots

30 g Pork lard

100g Pork meat sliced

1/2 small Onion sliced

4 slices Ginger julienne

3 cloves Garlic chopped

1 tsp Soya sauce

1/2 tsp Sugar

1 tsp Corn flour

1 tbsp Cooking oil

1/6 cube Prawn stock

Salt to taste

 

Sauce

3 drops Sesame oil

1 tsp Shao xing wine

1 tsp Oyster sauce

2 tsp Corn flour

1/3 cup Water

1.5 tsp Sugar

 

 


 






Chive shoots look like this :

Put the sliced pork in a small bowl and add the soya sauce, 1/2 tsp of sugar and 1 tsp of corn flour, mix well.

  Next put the sauce ingredients into another small bowl and stir

Cut the chive shoots into 3 inch lengths. Discard any pieces that are not crisp

Add cooking oil to a pan on medium heat

Add the pork lard and fry until brown

Add the ginger

Add the garlic and stock cube

Add salt

Add sugar

Add the pork meat

Fry for a minute or so

Add onion

Add the chive shoots

Add the sauce mixture and cook until the shoots are just cooked

Serve with rice and your choice of meat dish
