CELERY & PORK

 

INGREDIENTS

 

4 sticks Celery sliced
150g Pork sliced
3 cloves Garlic finely chopped
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 tsp Chicken stock powder
1/2 Onion cut into wedges
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt to taste

METHOD

 

 

Mix the pork with 1 tsp of corn flour and 1/4 tsp salt to tenderise the meat. Set aside until required.

Prepare the corn flour mix by adding the ingredients to a cup, mix well and set aside.

Use a potato peeler to strip any stringy bits from the celery stalks.

Cut celery into 2 inch lengths.

Heat the oil in a fry pan and add the garlic until fragrant.

Add the stock powder and stir in briefly.

Add the onions.

Add the pork and fry until it starts to brown.

Add the celery and fry for about 4 minutes.

Add salt to taste.

Add the corn flour mixture and stir through the pork and celery.

Continue to cook for another couple of minutes but don?t overcook the celery, it should remain quite crisp.

Add the MSG (optional)

Stir briefly and serve on rice with a meat dish.
