CARROT ZUCCHINI & PRAWN

 

INGREDIENTS

 

2 Carrots (medium)
1/2 Zucchini (large) skinned
9 Prawns (large) cleaned and halved lengthwise
1 Onion
1 tsp Sugar
1 cm cube Ginger sliced
4 cloves Garlic chopped
1 tbsp Oyster sauce
1/2 tsp Chicken stock powder
1/2 tsp Corn flour in 2 tsp water
1 cup Water
2 tbsp Cooking oil for frying
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt to taste

METHOD

 

 

Chop the carrot, onion and zucchini and slice the ginger.

 

 

Heat cooking oil in a wok and then add the onion and garlic. Fry until fragrant.

 

 

Add salt

 

 

Add sugar

 

 

Add the carrot and cook for a few minutes

 

 

Add the prawns

 

 

Add the zucchini

 

 

Add the oyster sauce and chicken stock

 

 

Add corn flour and water mix

 

 

Add water

 

 

Cook covered for 5 minutes

 

 

Add MSG (optional)

 

 

Serve with boiled rice and your choice of meat dish
