FIVE SPICE MACARONI

 

INGREDIENTS

 

400g Pork, minced
1 Onion chopped
3 cloves Garlic finely chopped
1/4 Cabbage roughly chopped
1 tbsp Oyster sauce
1 tbsp Sweet soya sauce
1 tbsp Soya sauce
400g Macaroni
3 tbsp Cooking oil
1 tsp 5 spice powder
Pinch of MSG (optional)
Salt and sugar to taste

METHOD

 

 

Cook the macaroni by boiling in water until bouncy but not too soft. Drain and then set aside.

 

 

Heat the cooking oil in a fry pan

 

 

Add garlic and fry until brown and fragrant

 

 

Add onion and fry until it begins to soften

 

 

Add the minced pork

 

 

Add salt (and MSG optional)

 

 

Add sugar

 

 

Add soya sauce

 

 

Add sweet soya sauce

 

 

Add the 5 spice powder

 

 

Add cabbage

 

 

Cook for several minutes until the cabbage begins to soften

 

 

Add the oyster sauce

 

 

Now add in the macaroni.

 

 

Stir in well so that it mixes with the other ingredients

 

 

Serve on its own or with your choice of vegetable dish
