DESCRIPTION
Fairbridge was established by Kingsley and Ruby Fairbridge in 1913 with the notion of helping to educate under-privileged children and providing them with the skills necessary to find employment in various agricultural industries.
Kingsley managed to establish the farm school but sadly died aged only 39. He was not to know just how long his vision was set to last.
Over a hundred years after it was first begun, Fairbridge continues to be a place of learning and assistance for young people.
Everyone is welcome to visit the village for day trips or accommodation can be booked in one of the many cottages scattered around the grounds.
The village is ideal for school camps, clubs, associations, corporate groups and all sorts of group training and activities. There are many facilities available including conference rooms, dining hall, sporting facilities and even a large pool and a church that can be hired for weddings.
Catering is also available with options available for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Care is taken to provide access for people with mobility problems including wheelchair access to most venues and cottages.
The village includes a museum, art gallery, swimming pool, tennis court, mini golf, volleyball, grassed oval, BBQs and a cafe.
Whether you visit Faribridge for a day trip or you choose to stay longer in this tranquil, picturesque place, the money you spend will help towards programs for young people who need some sort of assistance or support.
Fairbridge is a unique attraction and is a place we recommend both to local and overseas visitors.
