Kumarina is located on the Great Northern Highway between Meekatharra and Newman.

At one time it was well known as the most expensive fuel stop between Perth and Port Hedland but since the introduction of self-serve 24 hour fuel, the prices has become a lot more reasonable.

The roadhouse has a restaurant, tavern and caravan facility available for travellers.

There is a good overnight rest area south of Kumarina at South Branch. The rest area has shelters, seats, tables, toilets and dump points. There are some nice secluded sites along the track leading away from the main rest area.
