HACKS
Just south of Sandstone.
Gold first discovered in January 1903 by the Hacks brothers and partner George Dent. Mining continued until around 1921.

HAKEA TIMBER MILL
37 km east of Yarloop.
Timber mill in use until the early 1950s.

HALFWAY HOUSE HOTEL
About half way between the Nunngarra and Youanmi OR half way between Nunngarra and Lawlers.

HAMPTON PLAINS
51 km from Coolgardie.

HARBOUR VIEW
Later known as KUNDIP.

HARRINGTON TIMBER MILL
9 Km north of east of Jarrahwood.
Timber mill. Closed in 1888

HARRIS

HATTERS HILL
Located in the Ravensthorpe Shire.

HAWKS NEST
1.6 km north of Ravensthorpe.
Used as the main settlement before Ravensthorpe developed.

HAWKS NEST
West of Laverton.
Once a major station on the railway.
About 600 prospectors once worked this area.
In 1980, Alf Thompson found grave while prospecting at Hawks Nest. Near the grave was an old piece of tin with faded writing.
Alf identified the grave as that of John Aspinall who had died on March 18th 1896.

HAYES FIND
Original name for MULGARRIE.

HEDGE'S TIMBER MILL
6 km south west of Donnybrook near the railway line between Donnybrook and Kirup.

HIGGINSVILLE
31 45' S 121 43' E
58 km north of Norseman on the railway line between Norseman and Kambalda.
Gold mining settlement gazetted in 1907. Named after the prospector, Patrick Justice Higgins.
Abandoned in the 1920s.

HIT OR MISS
Original name for MULGARRIE.

HOFFMAN'S MILL
13km east of Logue Brook Dam.
Now used as a campsite.
Hoffmans Mill

HOFFMAN No.1 TIMBER MILL
Located near the head of the Bancell Creek. 15 km east of Yarloop.
Timber mill. Destroyed by fire in 1917.

HOFFMAN No. 2 TIMBER MILL
Located by the Harvey River south east of Hoffman No. 1 Mill 29 km from Yarloop
On Tallanalla Road. Closed in 1933 then re-opened and closed again in 1964.

HOLYOAKE TIMBER MILL
32 42.9' S 116 5.6' E
3 km east of Dwellingup.
Named after George Jacob Holyoake. Closed in 1958.

HOTHAM TIMBER MILL
32 48.3' S 116 19.8' E
26 km east south east of Dwellingup on the old State railway to Boddington.
Operated from 1920 to 1926.
