QUINDALUP TIMBER MILLS
3 km inland from Quindalup.
Henry Yelverton and McGibbon took up a timber lease on the coastline of Geographe Bay. The mill was connected to a jetty at Quindalup by a 3 km wooden railed horse tramway and operated from 1858. Timber for the Ceylon Railways was the first shipmenty and was sent in 1859.
