The turn off at Mt. Barnett Roadhouse on the Gibb River Road leads to Manning Gorge where you can enjoy swimming in a
huge pool of crystal clear water, bushwalking along the Gorge or just relaxing and taking in the spectacular falls.
Camp sites are available, but like other gorges in the Kimberley it is inaccessible during the wet season. Fees are charged to camp at
the gorge and they are paid at Mt. Barnett Roadhouse. Camping fees (2016) were reported as $20 per person. There have been numerous complaints about
the toilets and showers in the camp ground. The number of toilets and showers are inadequate during peak season and the campsite can be crowded.
There are numerous pools along the gorge on the way to the falls. Care should always be taken when crossing rugged terrain and make sure to
take some food and hats. The earlier you arrive in the 'cool' season, the more likely you are to see the falls still flowing.
The gorge is located on Mount Barnett Station in the King Leopold Range.
